Our Story
EdAmplified was born from a simple observation: teachers are overwhelmed. They spend countless hours on administrative tasks, grading, lesson planning, and documentation - time that could be spent actually teaching and connecting with students.
At the same time, artificial intelligence was advancing rapidly, showing remarkable capabilities in understanding and generating text, analyzing data, and automating complex workflows. We saw an opportunity to harness this technology to address a critical problem in education.
But we also recognized a challenge: many educational technology solutions are proprietary black boxes. Teachers and institutions don't understand how they work, can't customize them, and have to trust vendors with sensitive student data. This lack of transparency is particularly problematic with AI, where understanding how decisions are made is crucial.
That's why we're building EdAmplified as an open source project - transparent, customizable, and built in collaboration with the educational community. Education deserves tools that are built with educators, not just for them.

How We Build
Research-Informed
We conduct extensive research with teachers, students, and administrators to understand their needs, pain points, and workflows. Every feature is grounded in real-world educational practice and backed by research.
Educator-Centered Design
Teachers are involved throughout the design and development process. We test prototypes with educators, gather feedback, and iterate based on their insights. The result is a tool that actually fits into teaching workflows.
AI as Assistant, Not Replacement
EdAmplified is designed to augment teacher capabilities, not replace teacher judgment. The AI handles time-consuming tasks like grading and documentation, but teachers remain in control of all educational decisions.
Privacy-First
Student data protection is built into every aspect of EdAmplified. We're FERPA compliant, SOC 2 Type II certified, and never use student data for training external AI models or advertising.
